This is a superb walking area, with many paths to other villages, and easy access to the limestone fells.
Take a short and scenic drive to the pretty village of Malham where the famous landmarks, Gordale Scar, Janet’s Foss, Malham Tarn and Malham Cove can be visited, perhaps followed by refreshments at one of the traditional pubs or quaint tearooms.
Close by, the village of Grassington, with interesting independent shops and restaurants is well worth a visit. The friendly market town of Skipton with its medieval castle is ten minutes away. Haworth (Bronte Country), Ilkley, the elegant spa town of Harrogate, the majestic city of York and the stunning Lake District are within easy motoring distance.
In Hetton village and close to Norton View is the famous award winning Gastro Pub, ‘The Angel Inn’ which featured in the TV series ‘The Trip’. Serving fabulous food, fine ales and wines in welcoming and cosy surroundings.
